Profile
My name is Dr Justin Reed and I will be your anaesthetist for your up coming procedure.

Professional History
I am a specialist Anaesthetist who has been working as a Consultant in Sydney for 25 years. After graduating from Sydney University, I completed my specialty training at St Vincent's Hospital in 1995. After extensive training in Australia, I continued to work and pursued further trained opportunities in the UK, with appointments in both Salisbury and Edinburgh.

I work predominantly at St Vincent's Private Hospital and North Shore Private Hospital and work in all areas of anaesthesia but have an interests in anaesthesia for Urological, Orthopaedic, Vascular and Spinal surgery.

My wife is from Manchester and together we have three children, including a twin boy and girl – although there is only a 14-month age gap between the three, so it has often felt like triplets.

Outside of medicine I am a keen photographer and sports fan. With two brothers-in-law, living in Manchester and having season tickets at Old Trafford and the Etihad, I was lucky enough to be regularly entertained in corporate lounges watching Manchester United and Manchester City play.

Being a proud United fan, means this last decade has been particularly grim – but surely this new manager David Moyes, Ryan Giggs, Louis Van Gaal, Jose, Ole Gunnar, Ralph Rangnick, Eric Ten Haag, Ruud Van Nistelroy, -- Ruben Amorin, will make a difference!!!!

To make certain that your anaesthetic experience is as smooth and safe as possible, I make it a priority to always be available to call or consult with you both pre- and post-procedure. My aim is to put all patients at ease and ensure they have the best perioperative experience possible.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Macquarie Anaesthetic Group on 9550 4866.
